Job Overview
Assisting the doctors in the operating theatre and the outpatient clinic.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operating Theatre
- To prepare the operating theatre, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
- To assist doctors in the operating theatre.
- To administer post-operation dressing to patients whenever necessary.
- Outpatient clinic
- To perform the investigations whenever necessary – Visual Field, ECG, Hess’ Screen, OCT, biometry, etc.
- To prepare and assist in investigations or procedures – FFA, Laser, minor surgeries, etc.
- To greet patients in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- To check patient’s vision, refraction, NCT, focimeter, RBS & BP, etc.
- To administer dilation, loading, constriction, lid wash/scrub, and medication as prescribed by doctors.
- To assist in the discharge of surgery patients.
- To assist at the branch clinic whenever necessary.
- To assist with any other nursing duties whenever necessary.
Secondary Responsibilities
- To attend to secretarial duties; reports, typing, and filing whenever necessary.
- To maintain and ensure the cleanliness of the OT and outpatient clinic at all times.
- To carry out any duties as assigned by the Management.

Optometrist
Job Overview
Administers eye examinations, gives advice on visual problems and prescribes and fits glasses or contact lenses, vision therapy, or rehabilitation programmes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examines patient’s eyes to determine nature and degree of vision problem and detects signs of injury, disease, abnormalities and defects in vision.
- Examines eyes and performs various tests to determine any other abnormalities such as glaucoma and colour blindness.
- Checks for signs and symptoms of general health conditions e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure and cataracts which may affect patients’ vision and refers these patients to ophthalmologists.
- Communicates with patients to get detailed case histories.
- Offers advice and reassurance about vision-related matters.
- Writes referral notices to doctors.
- Prescribes corrective lenses, contact lenses and other vision aids or therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision.
- Educates and counsels patients on contact lens care and visual hygiene.
- Undertakes continuing education and training.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assists in the Vision Room by performing visual acuity testing and refraction when necessary.
- Assists by performing ophthalmic investigations such as computerised visual field examination, ophthalmic imaging, A and B scan examinations.
- To participate in any research or academic activity which the centre is involved in or organising.
- To participate in any charitable or community-based activity which the centre is involved in or organising.
- Supervises and trains junior staff.
- Manages the retail aspects of glasses, contact lenses and other vision care products.
- Maintains and ensures cleanliness in the Centre at all times.
- Carries out any reasonable duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry program
- Active state optometry license
- Clinical optometrist job experience preferred

Job Overview
- Perform a variety of general receptionist duties necessary for the efficient operation of the front office.
- To assist in and provide administrative services necessary to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations.
Job Description
- To receive all patients and visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
- To register new patients, retrieve and file patients’ Medical Records.
- To check/prepare patients’ cards for appointments, to call if necessary.
- To receive incoming calls in a polite manner to give a good image to the Centre.
- To attend to the needs and enquiries of the patients.
- To attend to patients’ insurance matters.
- To maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- To operate and maintain standard office equipment.
- To receive and acknowledge delivery of company supplies and equipment
- To assist with any other duties whenever necessary.
- To maintain the cleanliness of the office.
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Secondary School/SPM/”O” Level, Professional Certificate in Administration or equivalent.
- Required language (s): English and Bahasa. Mandarin speaking will be an added advantage.
- Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Min 1 Year(s) of working experience in the customer service-related field is required for this position.
- Preferably with experience in handling medical insurance matters.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive with a positive organisational and working attitude.
